Here is an overview of the hardware I use for my home lab.

  • 8x 1 TB Seagate ST1000NC000 Enterprise Hard Drives (RAID5)
  • 2x GBit LAN


Network:

 

PowerConnect 2824

  • 10/100/1000Base-T auto-sensing Gigabit Ethernet switching ports
  • Supports up to 64 port-based VLANs. Honors all 4096 VLAN tags
  • Jumbo frame support for packets up to 9,000 bytes
