VMware: How To Rollback ESXi 4.1 to 4.0 Upgrade
Sometimes it is necessary to rollback an installation of VMware ESXi, reverting to a previous installation. Last weekend I did this for testing in my home lab. It’s pretty easy…
^ My upgraded VMware ESXi 4.1.0 Build 260247 server
^ Reboot the host and press SHIFT + H to revert the rollback. Message:
Current hypervisor will premanently be replaced with build: 4.0.0.-164009. Are you sure?
Press Y (or SHIFT + Y) to rollback the upgrade
^ Oke.. 2 seconds later I received this message:
1 log messages, press ESX to view.
^ Message:
Fallback hypervisor restored successfully
^ The ESXi 4.1 host is downgraded to ESXi 4.0.0 and is back online again 🙂

can you give a similar solution to rollback to esxi 3.5. i was working on esxi 3.5 the installed esxi 4.1. i want to roll back to esxi 3.5. please anybody can help?
