Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

BDRSuite offers Two-Factor Authentication, an additional layer of security for your BDRSuite Servers (Backup Server, Offsite DR Server, BDRCloud). With 2FA, your data is even safer as it ensures that only authorized individuals with the correct login credentials and a verification code sent via email can access your account. This improvement strengthens the security of your critical data.

Import Backup Data

We understand that data recovery is paramount, even in challenging scenarios. With the new import feature, you can easily import backups to the backup server from a backup repository for data recovery. This functionality proves invaluable in cases of backup server failure or when you need to import backups from another backup server or if backup job has been deleted but the backup data is retained in the backup repository.

Pre/Post Backup Scripts

BDRSuite now supports pre and post backup scripts for Disk Image, and file-level backups. These scripts offer enhanced flexibility and control over your backup processes, allowing you to automate tasks before and after the backup operation.

File Level Recovery to Source Machine

We’ve made a significant improvement to our file-level recovery feature. Previously, you could only restore files to the location on the backup server machine. Now, you have the option to restore files/folders to the source machine directly, to the same or a different location. This enhancement simplifies data recovery and ensures that your files are back where you need them.

Enhancements in BDRSuite v7.0.0

Centralized Backup for SQL Server and MySQL

Streamlining your backup process, we’ve centralized the backup configuration and management of applications and databases – SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL. The complexities of managing them from individual clients are now eliminated in v7.0.0 and everything is conveniently accessible from the backup server itself.

Add Folder Path as Backup Repository

With our latest update, you’re no longer limited to choosing entire drives or volumes for backup repositories. Now, you have the flexibility to select a specific folder path within a drive or volume. This enhancement provides you with more control and flexibility in backup repository selection.

Offsite Copy Support for Backup Jobs configured with Object Storage Repository

If you use object storage for your primary backup jobs, BDRSuite now lets you make offsite copies of your backup jobs. This feature wasn’t in previous versions, making it simpler to have an extra backup copy offsite, adding more data protection.

Standalone Tape Drives

While BDRSuite previously supported automated tape library, v7.0.0 now supports standalone tape drives. This means more options and greater efficiency when archiving your backup data.

Missed Backup Schedule Report

The Missed Backup Schedules report provides detailed insights into jobs that didn’t run as scheduled. This report allows you to promptly address any issues and ensure seamless data protection.

Automatic Backup Agent Installation

To streamline the configuration process and enhance your backup experience, BDRSuite’s backup agent is now installed by default along with the backup server installation. This is particularly convenient if you plan to configure Hyper-V, Disk-image or File-level backups for your backup server machine. It can also be used as a backup agent for file share backups and more.
